Don’t Let Your Inner Adult Kill Your Childish Ideas

Child prodigy Adora Svitak believes in the value of “childish” thinking. She’s an advocate for bold ideas, wild creativity and optimism.

I’m with her. Childish thinking is often what leads to innovation. Yet, our adult brains are very good at shutting down innovative thinking for what is safe, cost-effective and practical.

So, I’m sharing the link to Adora Svitak’s TEDTalk with the hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

The humor and style of this young innovator is inspiring and, within her talk, is one of the best examples I’ve seen of what can happen creatively when projects are approached from a fresh perspective – when you throw away all the baggage about how things are “supposed” to be.

To putting our childish selves in the creative driver’s seat.
